SAC remit the sentence of 1316 people and discharge of 4320 people

Myanmar State Administration Council released two Orders with respective number 186/2021 and 187/2021 dated with 18 October 2021.

By the Order 186/2021, the State Administrative Council, by Section 401(1) of the Criminal Procedure Code which is the provision for the suspensions, remissions, and commutations of sentences, directed to remit the sentence of 1316 prisoners from the respective prisons, jails, camps under the condition of “to serve the new punishment together with the remaining punishment to which he was sentenced, if more offences are committed”.

By the Order 187/2021, State Administrative Council, abiding by  the Section 419 of the Constitution of Myanmar which gives him the right to exercise the powers of legislature, executive and judiciary, directed to close the pending criminal cases and discharged of 4320 prisoners who charged in various courts in the country for the participation in the riot because of inciting by the groups they declared as the terrorists, as the State Administration Council is working in accordance with the Five-Point Road Map including the establishment of Peace, Stability and Ture Democracy in the country, to establish the humanitarian and to bring peace to citizens of Myanmar.
